The training at Krav Maga Toronto is hard and the instructors do not apologize for it. That is why I think everyone who trains here go home as better people. I was initially interested in learning Krav Maga, because my co-worker wanted some practical self-defense training before traveling the world and he needed someone to go with him. I was hooked after my first class, mostly because of the positive teaching styles of the instructors there. Don’t get me wrong; they will push you to your mental limit, but they pay attention to individual limits and help everyone get through their personal obstacles. The overall culture is positive as well. Getting the most out of your training also means being a good training partner. That means everyone is responsible for everyone else’s training and safety in class. Although my co-worker never went back, I kept training and it has done wonders for my health as well as my mental endurance. Krav Maga is not for everyone, but it may be right for you.
